The Franklin Times – Onstage in North Carolina
May 11, 2011

“Performing to a packed Benson Hall audience on April 29, internationally acclaimed pianist Teresa Walters enchanted the audience with compositions from Franz Liszt (1811-1886) to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the great pianist’s birth. This special evening concert and reception recognized benefactors who support the arts at the College. Friends of the Arts members attended this event at no charge at the Grand Patron and Producer’s Circle giving levels.

“Hailed as “The International First Lady of Piano, Walters has been described by Austrian National Television as “a rare musical phenomenon” and “one of the world’s most significant pianists.” In recent years, she has performed as recitalist and orchestral soloist on 6 continents and most of the 50 states at venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.”
