“Spectacular Music” “On Saturday, April 29th, the American Church in Berlin hosted an amazing concert by renowned international pianist Dr. Teresa Walters. The historic church with its central location has long been recognized as an ecumenical home for people of diverse nations. This concert was true to its reputation as members, friends and the larger Schöneberg community gathered for a glorious evening of music by the artist aptly described by the New York Times as “The International First Lady of Piano.” From British Columbia to Beijing, Teresa Walters has thrilled audiences at venues across the world. As a Paris review noted: “She is blessed with a rare combination of gifts.” For this memorable evening, she performed works by Romantic composers Liszt, Glinka and Balakirev. The audience was visibly blessed by her glorious playing and her articulate and entertaining remarks engaging the audience. Teresa Walters is a gifted communicator and an artist clearly in her prime.
