"Renowned American concert pianist Teresa Walters arrives in the Great Lakes region this week for performances at two of the area's noted venues. On September 16 at 7 PM, she will be featured artist in the Music Series of the Phipps Center. The Phipps is well known as the primary center for the arts in the St. Croix Valley area of eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Her performance inaugurates the Phipps Center's Music Series, a season which also includes the Minnesota Orchestra and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra as well as the Encore Wind Ensemble.

On September 17, Minnesota audiences will have the opportunity to hear her on the Chamber Music Series at Bethany College in Mankato. Walters's performance in Trinity Chapel at 7 PM will feature her popular Keynote Comments format, in which she discusses the music with the audience prior to her performance. Her program includes music by Baroque, Romantic and Contemporary composers.

During the past several years, Teresa Walters has garnered stellar reviews from around the world. She is fast becoming one of the most widely traveled concert pianists in history, with recent performances and tours on six continents and in most of the 50 United States. In a recent public poll, Walters was ranked as one of the top five American pianists. Her award-winning recordings will be available at both regional performances."
