Famed Pianist to Perform in Santa Barbara

"Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Teresa Walters will perform on March 7 at 8 PM in Porter Theatre on the campus of Westmont College in Santa Barbara. Her program will include works by Brahms, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Gershwin, and Lili Boulanger."

"Walters is widely considered to be one of the world's most uniquely gifted virtuoso pianists. She is becoming one of the most widely traveled concert pianists in history and has performed in nearly every state in the country as well as on six continents. She has played in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall, Wigmore hall in London and Moscow's Great Hall. She has recorded several award-winning CDs including "The Abbe Liszt: Sacred Piano Music of Franz Liszt. Walters is the first American pianist invited to perform three prestigious European recitals which honor the anniversary of Liszt's birthday. Her recital will be the inaugural performance of Westmont's new Steinway concert grand piano."
