"Tonight: Pianist Teresa Walters performs for the Chamber Music Society of Central Kentucky at 7:30 PM in the Singletary Center for the Arts. Music critics are placing her in the top tier of piano soloists in the world. In addition to being an acclaimed performer, Walters is known for providing audiences with lively introductions to the pieces she plays. Tonight's concert will feature works by Brahms, Rachmaninov, Liszt, Gershwin and Boulanger.

"Teresa Walters is widely considered to be one of the world's most uniquely gifted virtuoso pianists. In great demand as both a recitalist and orchestral soloist, she is rapidly becoming one of the most widely traveled concert pianists in history. In recent seasons, she has performed on six continents and in most of the 50 United States. She is a musical ambassador at home and abroad. Her recent performance at Lincoln Center in New York earned a standing ovation from a capacity crowd. Her tours in recent seasons have included Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Australia, Japan and Israel. She was the first American pianist invited to perform three prestigious European recitals honoring composer Franz Liszt's birthday. She is recording a series of releases featuring Liszt's sacred piano music. Her recordings have received nominations for the Grand Prix du Disque. FANFARE magazine hails her new CD as "a formidable display of technical dexterity and red-blooded power."
