"Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Teresa Walters, whom music critics place "in the top tier of piano soloists in the world", travels to Canada this month for performances in two major universities in Nova Scotia. Walters will perform at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish on Friday, October 21 at 8 pm for the Antigonish Performing Arts Series. Festival Theatre at Acadia University will be the location for her second performance the following evening at 8. Walters is described by Austrian National television as "one of the world's most significant pianists." Her concerts on stages around the globe inspire unanimous praise and her recent Lincoln Center recital in New York earned a standing ovation from a packed hall. The
Jerusalem Post wrote: "Marvelous! As close to perfect as I hope to hear." Her program includes works by Lili
Boulanger, Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms, George Gershwin and Sergei
Rachmaninov. Her award winning recordings will be available at both concerts." |
