International First Lady of Piano Performs “Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Teresa Walters, described as “The International First Lady of Piano” by The New York Times, performs at St. Johns Church in Rutherford on Saturday, March 24th at 7 p.m. Her program “500th Birthday Party” features works by Bach-Busoni, Liszt and St. Francis of Assisi. Walters tours extensively this season throughout North and South America and returns to Rome in April for a performance near the Vatican. In recent years, Teresa Walters has performed on six continents and in most of the 50 United States. Recent highlights include gala performances at Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall and Copenhagen’s Hungarian Embassy for the International Diplomatic Corps. Her performances as soloist with orchestras in Russia earned 5 curtain calls. The artist will dialog with the audience in her popular Keynote Comments format.
