World Renowned Pianist Teresa Walters Performs at the Playhouse

“World renowned concert pianist Teresa Walters appears on the Mainstage at the Cumberland Playhouse on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m.  Tickets are going fast for her special program titled “500th Birthday Party:  A Musical Celebration of the Reformation.” 

The New York Times describes her as “The International First Lady of Piano” for her stunning performances in the world’s most prestigious concert venues.  Austrian National Television calls Teresa Walters “a rare musical phenomenon” and “one of the world’s most significant pianists.” 

Her recent performances include Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall and Copenhagen’s Hungarian Embassy.  This season, she performs her 500th Birthday Party program in major world capitals, including Rome and Zurich.  In a recent interview, Walters said, “I consider it a privilege to celebrate 500 years of this important historical and spiritual journey by sharing with the world the gifts God gave me."

In her popular Keynote Comments format, Walters will dialogue with the audience before she performs the music.
