Pianist Teresa Walters Performs at the Hyde Collection

The deBlasiis Chamber Music Series welcomes renowned pianist Teresa Walters for her first appearance at the Hyde Collection on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. in Froehlich Auditorium.

This is Ms. Walters’s deBlasiis debut.  Hailed as “The International First Lady of Piano”, she is described by Austrian National Television as “that rare musical phenomenon” and “one of the world’s most significant pianists”.

In recent years she has performed as recitalist and orchestral soloist on six continents and throughout the 50 United States at venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, the Salle Cortot in Paris, Moscow’s Great Hall, Australia’s International Conservatorium and Jerusalem’s Concert Hall, notes deBlasiis.  Works include Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, plus pieces by both Robert and Clara Schumann and Franz Liszt and an American Kaleidoscope, her own arrangement of themes from Rhapsody in Blue and other American works.
